Know the times and the seasons

We are now celebrating the Hebraic calendar

Welcome to the new Hebrew month of Tamuz

Tamuz 5785

The month of Tamuz is when we:

● Light Radiating from Our Eyes

● Worshipping Correctly

● Reviewing the Filmstrip of Our Lives

● Vision and Alignment

● Covenant Rights

Tammuz is the 4th month in the Hebraic calendar.

Biblically Tammuz is the month that Israel sinned by worshiping the golden calf.

We have a choice this month how, and who we are going to worship!

It’s also the month that Moses sent the 12 spies into the Promised land and the 10 brought back a bad report.

They entered the Promised land but didn’t receive the fullness because they took their eyes off the Lord and looked at the enemy instead.

There is an invitation to you this month to receive the fullness!

The month of Tammuz is associated with the letter “Chet” which is a picture of light radiating from your eyes.

The eyes are windows to our soul, and from our heart flow the issues of life.

By meditating on the Word and worshiping your soul will begin to reflect the light and glory of the Lord.

Let the light of His love and righteousness shine through.

We want to always live in a way that the light of the Lord is able to radiate out of us in a clear, unfiltered, unmasked way.

The enemy will try to put out the light in your eyes, and by coming into agreement with him whether thru our own actions/words,

or by simply agreeing with the negative report like the 10 spies, we often allow a portion of our light to be covered and dimmed.

We said that this is the fourth month; and 4 is a picture of a door. The letter Chet equals the number 8 which means new beginnings. So trust that as you worship this month the Lord is illuminating your vision to see the new doors He has for you.

Hosea 2:15 says “I will make the valley of Anchor a door of hope” The word “Anchor” here is from the root word that means “trouble.”

So the Lord is showing us that even in the valley, the places of trouble.. He has a door of Hope for us!

The rest of that verse says that He will give vineyards and she shall sing there as in the days of her youth - as in the day that she came out of the land of Egypt. This speaks of restoration!

The best way to move through this month is through Worship. Tammuz is the month where Israel sinned by choosing to create and worship a golden calf rather than the Creator. What would a “golden calf” look like in your life?

It can be a person, our own abilities, a certain position.. anything that we find comfort & security in other than God is a golden calf. Begin to discern the plan God is working out in your life and then wait on the Lord and trust in Him.

Psalm 37 that says “Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart..” The word “delight” there means to be “soft” and “pliable.” So focus this month on breaking out of any hard shell you’ve built around you. Ask the Lord to soften any hard areas in your heart, and give you HIS desires, so that you would be pliable and desire what He desires!

Tammuz is associated with the tribe of Reuben. Reuben was the firstborn, who by breaking his covenant with his father (Gen 35:22) lost a portion of his power and strength (his inheritance) Guard your heart and your eyes this month so that you won’t get thrown off course like Reuben.

Reuben lost his inheritance due to wrong choices, but later chose to live differently. We too can either choose to be bitter, or change and do better. We can also choose to repent for any place we have broken covenant, and like Ruben regain that strength!

Take a moment to evaluate where you are this month, think of Tammuz as a “filmstrip” month. Filmstrips are individual slides linked together to tell a story. You are able to look back at the individual events in your life and see how they link together - your life tells a story.
Had Israel reviewed their filmstrip.. they would have been filled with faith. They would have seen and remembered how God provided for them by healing the waters at Mariah, how He led them to abundance at Elim, and provided water and meat in the desert, how He gave them a cloud of protection by day and fire by night!

You can review the progression of your life, and then stop to make any adjustments needed to secure your inheritance!

Press into these promises this month!

What Story is your life telling? Ask the Lord for a new revelation and then EXPECT Holy Spirit to show you!

  • What are you creating/worshiping with your choices?

  • When we break covenant - We lose strength

  • Thank the Lord that just as Rueben had a redemptive side, that through Christ you are able to redeem all that was lost!

  • Declare you WILL worship the LORD!

  • Declare you will watch what you say, and walk in the FULLNESS of His promises!

  • Declare that You will see - what you decree and that your light will shine bright and draw others to The Light!

  • Decree that you will see your door of Hope. That you will sing of His Goodness as you walk into your new beginning, and that as in the days of Egypt the Lord is leading you out with a high hand!

  • Declare that your heart is good ground and that you are breaking out of the wilderness.. and breaking into promise!

  • Don’t forfeit your future for a golden calf, ask God to help you keep pressing forward this month - there is no neutral in the Spirit.
