Decade of Pey

Pey is a decade to:

A picture of our mouth, where our words carry extra weight

● Visitation of Holy Spirit (blow, puff, kindle are Pey words)

● Face to face with the Lord (panim means face)

● To see Miracles, Signs and Wonders (they are all Pey words)

This is a decade of Deliverance (Passover & Purim both feasts of deliverance)

Key Characteristics:

● Connecting / Linking

● Establishing the season

● Establishing new things

● Aligning with God

● God revealing His covenant

The month of Iyar is the second month of the Hebrew calendar and is associated with the Hebrew letter “Vav” which means “connecting or linking.” It's a picture of a connecting-pin or nail.

The first time we see the letter Vav is in the very first verse of the Bible. "In the beginning God “created” (vav - connected) the heavens and the earth." We also see that Jesus when He was “nailed” to the cross, He re-connected heaven and earth and established a connection for us to go directly to the Father!

This is a time when the Lord wants to establish new things both in and around us. We see this throughout history: in 1 Kings we see the construction of Solomon's Temple established, in 1948 the state of Israel was re-established as a nation, and in 1967 Israel obtained Jerusalem all during the month of Iyar!

Ask the Lord HOW He wants to establish you in this season. Evaluate your connections and ask the Lord how and with whom you are to connect?

Make sure that you’re properly aligned and fully connected to Him.

To really understand Iyar, we need to look at what happened to Israel as they were coming out of Egypt. It was a time of transition from Egypt to Mount Sinai. And it was on this journey that God began to reveal His Covenant Secrets to them.

We read in Ex 15 that when they came to the bitter waters of Mara they learned that God heals -

so they called Him Yahweh Rapha.

They got to know Him as the “God who Sees and Provides.” So they called Him - Jehovah Jireh.

When the Israelites came to battle with the Amalekites, they learned a new dimension

of Him as Jehovah Nissi - the Lord is my Banner of Victory!

Who do you know Him as?

The word “wilderness” comes from the Hebrew word “Midbar." It means wilderness, but it also can mean: to speak, to lead, or counsel. Because this is a time where the Lord is not only revealing His Covenant secrets, but also wanting to speak with us, and give us counsel on how to move forward.

We see this mirrored in the New Testament. It was in the month of Iyar, the month between the resurrection and the ascension where Jesus equipped His disciples for the task ahead.

This was the month where the Disciples transitioned into Apostles!

How is the Lord transitioning you in this season? Press in for fresh revelation, ask Him to illuminate His Names to you in a new way, for fresh manna and strategies as you move forward! Dan 2:22 tells us "He reveals deep and secret things..” and Jer. 33:3 promises “Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know”

This month is also associated with the tribe of Issachar, who are known for their anointing to know the times, and to understand secrets. Issachar was a tribe known for their knowledge of the law and for being scholars of the Torah.

Prov. 6 gives us some insight about meditating on the law (Torah): “When you roam, they will lead you. When you sleep, they will keep you. When you awake, they will speak with you. For the commandment is a lamp, and the law a light..”

Surround yourself with plenty of light this month, and watch as paths that you

haven’t seen before begin to open up before you!

Iyar is linked with our emotions & soul. Psalm 16:7 says: “I will bless the Lord, who has given me counsel. Yes, my heart instructs me in the night seasons” - That word heart is originally translated “kidneys” -

This is a good time to cleanse your emotions, soul and even your physical kidneys.

Speak to your emotions & soul and command them to incline, and align with the Word of God!

This month also has a special holiday called "the Second Passover" or "Holiday of Second Chances" In the book of Numbers we read that if someone was defiled or on a journey and could not celebrate the Passover during the appointed time, that the Lord provided a time where they would be able to celebrate the Passover on the 14th of Iyar!

As you take time to seek the Lord this month and press in for new strategies, rest in the fact that He is a God of second chances. The Lord is re-establishing your connection with Him this month, and desires to re-introduce Himself to you in a new way!

Remember that we are in a PEY season so your words carry extra weight!

Be sure to speak those things that the Lord is highlighting during Iyar, and ask the Lord for the Issachar anointing to not just know the times and season.. But what to do in them as well!!
